ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am a native of Fort Worth, Texas. I have been making jewelry for 11 years, using my knowledge and experience for artistic and spiritual inspiration. I specialize in bead weaving, using various types and size looms and techniques to make intricate and dazzling jewelry.

I find it very important to have artistic and creative outlets. Before I started making jewelry, I was suffering from a deep depression. In addition to battling obesity and having to face many other issues, I could not be the person I was destined to be. From that point I ran into a bead store in Fort Worth, TX and met a lovely woman name Mary Harrison and started making jewelry. It changed my life! Making jewelry from there went from a simple craft to a form of creative therapy and healing. Doing so has allowed me to meet and connect with so many minds. That experience transformed me and it has opened blessings and a healing to others. I strive to provide that kind of healing and joy to people as they wear my work, inspiring them to recreate their life with new purpose.

I want what I create to transcend generations and inspire people to create with purpose, vision and love and to use that for an opportunity to connect with others. My art is about people and community and I want it to be the focus of everything that I do

I am inspired by photography, Jazz and everyday people. I am a convivial listener when it comes to people’s lives and their stories and I allow that to be a chamber in which I create. What I do is for the spirit of people.

When I am not making jewelry, I am with friends, cooking, doing photography and playing my trombone.

MUCH LOVE,

-tr.
